2013 Convention Caring for America Project

Announcing the OFRW 2013 Convention Caring for America Project

Homefront provides direct services to alleviate a military family’s or individual’s actual or complete financial burden, as well as counseling/recovery support. Emergency financial assistance is in the form of checks paid directly to mortgage lenders, auto mechanics, contractors, hospitals, doctors, dentists, and other providers. Other emergency funding assistance the applicant receives within 24 to 72 hours, include the following:

Financial assistance
Emergency food
Critical baby items: formula, food and diapers
Home and appliance repair
Local moving assistance
Furniture and household items
Community events
Wounded Warrior transitional family housing

Operation Homefront would like the OFRW to assist in making Christmas brighter for military families by donating toys for their sons and daughters. Keep in mind when shopping that these children are toddlers to teenagers, and please do not wrap your gift. For many military families Christmas is financially and emotionally stressful. Please be mindful that our toys will put a happy face on some child’s face, whose mom or dad is serving us proudly.
